Typically Process Hazard Analysis or Preliminary Hazards Analysis is conducted through a HAZID (Hazards Identification) session using predefined checklist or guidewords developed internally or adapting ISO 17776, etc. Primary focus during a HAZID is to identify non-process hazards especially external impacts to project facilities and process incidents related hazards on surroundings – both onsite and offsite. In this exercise safety aspects related to layout development area also reviewed and facilities siting for major equipment / systems, etc.
Along with HAZID, in some projects Environmental Impacts Identification (ENVID) and Occupational Hazards Identification (OHID) are performed during various stages of project life cycle. We have experience in wide range of such workshops in all phases, viz., Assess, Select, Concept, FEED and EPC, of a project as well as Operate phase of an asset.
