Pre-start up Safety Review (PSSR) is a systematic and structured process that is intended to provideassurance that all new or modified facilities are constructed in accordance with the relevant designspecifications.
- Construction and equipment are in accordance with design specifications;
- Hazard analysis and risk assessment has been performed for the new facilities/intended change & recommendations from the hazard analysis are implemented or resolved;
- HSE, operating, maintenance, interface, coordination and emergency procedures are in place and adequate; and
- All necessary training has been completed for relevant personnel.
