Technical Peer Review (TPR)

TPRs are conducted in engineering business to provide an additional level of technical assurance by drawing on the technical expertise of most experienced technical people. The intent of TPRs is to focus on Technical Integrity of the design with inherent review of Safety and Sustainability.
Typically, TPRs are not intended for a detailed assessment of the compliance toengineering quality procedures nor presentation of deliverables as these matters should be covered via alternate means, viz., Quality Audits, Spot Checks, etc.
TPRs are conducted at various stages of an engineering project and the extent of review depends on complexity,nature of facilities that are being deigned and engineering maturity, etc.
